12 Gifts Moms Actually Want in 2025

From one mom to another — real gifts for real life.

I’ve been a mom for a long time now, and honestly, I’m grateful for every gift I’ve ever received — truly. There’s something so special about someone thinking of you and picking something out, even if it’s not quite your style. But if we’re being honest? There are just some things that hit different. The gift that shows someone really knows you. The thing you didn’t ask for but secretly hoped for. The little luxury that fits into your actual day-to-day, not some fantasy highlight reel.

And then there are the surprises — like the neck massager my daughter got me. I had no idea how much I needed it until I used it. Now it’s one of my favorite things. Some of these gifts are like that — ones I’ve had my eye on, or things that became unexpected favorites.

So whether you’re shopping for your sister, your best friend, your wife, or yourself (because yes, you’re allowed to treat yourself too), these are gifts that make real life just a little cozier, a little easier, and a lot more thoughtful.

These are items I either personally use, have on my list, or keep seeing over and over again from real moms who just want a little something for themselves. Nothing that screams “you look like you could use a vacuum” or “you seem stressed, here’s a chore disguised as self-care.” Just solid, good gifts.

1. LED Facial Mask

I like anything that lets me multitask while winding down. This one checks all the boxes — skincare, Netflix, and peace and quiet. I use mine at night when the house is finally calm. It feels like a little spa moment without leaving the couch. Plus, this brand is a tried and true favorite by many beauty buffs!

2. Candle Warmer Lamp

I used to forget to blow out candles all the time (oops), so this felt like a genius invention. It warms the candle with a soft glow and looks so pretty on a shelf. I keep it next to my favorite spot where I sit with my cozy jogger set, my weighted blanket, and a good book — chocolate in one hand, neck massager on, and this candle lamp glowing beside me. It even has a dimmer!

3. Heated Mug or Mug Warmer

This one was a total game changer. I used to microwave my coffee three times before I finished it. Now it actually stays warm while I’m juggling emails and snack requests. You can opt for just the warmer to keep any mug warm, or you can splurge for the duo mug and warmer, which is clearly a techy fav!

4. Chunky Knit Weighted Blanket

My favorite blanket ever. It’s beautiful, feels like a hug, and helps me wind down at night because it’s not too heavy. I keep it on the couch, but let’s be real—someone in my family is always stealing it. I’ll be honest, I did try making my own…but it is always best to just go with the professionals, because this blanket is a lot of work and if you don’t create it just right, the weave is too tight or too loose and it’s almost impossible to get the weight right. Either way, that novice diy blanky does not create a favorite cuddle comfort moment. It’s better, in my humble opinion, to just purchase the best from the professionals! And maybe grab a couple extra for holiday gifts!

5. Slim Crossbody Bag

This is my go-to bag for errands. Really, every day life. I go back and forth between carrying everything in a tote and minimizing with a cross-body. So far, the cross-body has stayed all season! It’s light, doesn’t hurt my shoulder, and has enough room for the essentials without being a black hole. Perfect when I don’t want to carry a whole tote just to run to Target.

6. Preloaded Digital Photo Frame

I have a smart refrigerator with a digital slideshow on it, and it makes me smile every time I walk by. I’d love to have another one for my bedroom or living room — something to rotate photos of family that live far away, so they feel a little closer every day. This link comes with 2 frames with mattes so it feels more sophisticated and I can have one for both rooms. There are a variety of frame colors too!

7. Cute Jogger Set

Let’s be honest. As a stay at home Mom, I live in joggers an crewnecks! These are soft, flattering, and don’t look like pajamas (even though they feel like them). Plus, they all have pockets!! I throw on a jean jacket and sneakers, and I’m ready to go. Whether I’m lounging around the house or picking up kids, this set is my uniform. I’ve listed a few of my favorite brands to narrow it down for you, since there are so many out there!

8. Wireless Book Light + Kindle Sleeve

I like to read in bed, but my husband’s not a fan of bright lights. This little book light is the perfect fix. It’s great for my paperback books and it comes in cute colors. And the sleeve keeps my Kindle safe from spills and kids who like to “borrow” it. So no matter which way I want to read, I’m safe to escape into my new world without getting interrupted by my real world!

9. CHI Spin N Curl Ceramic Rotating Curler

As a stay-at-home mom, sometimes I want to feel like a human but don’t want to put on a full face of makeup — so at least I know I can easily do my hair and it will last for days. This is great. It almost feels like cheating. Plus, I can use it on my girls and it is quick, easy, and painless!! Bonus: I don’t have to worry about burning anyone with the hot barrel even when it’s just sitting on the counter and someone bumps it!

10. Box of Luxury Chocolates (zChocolat)

I mean, c’mon! These are almost too pretty to eat… almost! Lol! I personally love getting fancy chocolates as a gift — it feels decadent and just for me (even thought you know I share them with everyone.) Plus, they ship beautifully, so you can send them straight to someone special. They have bars, boxes of assortments, and even vegan options, jams and macarons! Who doesn’t love fancy treats?!

11. Neck and Shoulder Massager

My daughter got me one of these and I didn’t even know I needed it. Now I can’t live without it. It actually gets into the knots and feels like a mini spa treatment at home. I plug it in while watching a show at night, grab a hot cup of tea, and chill for 30 min before bed!

12. Booking.com Travel Gift Card or Weekend Trip

I love a good trip—even if it’s just an overnight stay somewhere close. A quiet hotel room, fluffy robe, and no one asking for snacks? Yes, please. This can be a romantic getaway, a girls retreat, or a fun family mini stay-cation in your nearest big city just to get out of town for a night. Any way you choose, this a needed escape for her! (or me!!)
