Whoever said money can’t buy happiness simply didn’t know where to shop

When my oldest daughter was a tween, we spent all of my bonus money at Justice! We went on a huge shopping spree! I’m talking HUGE!!! The receipt touched the floor!! And rolled down the isle!! Yep! At Justice, for girls!
I love my children and that day when we went back to school shopping, she got everything she wanted and my boys got to pick a few things too, haha! You see, she was not spoiled, she just was really not feeling so great about herself these days. She was growing through that awkward in-between years that I personally know all too well. I may have been living vicariously through her then, since I wanted her to know she was the most powerful force to reckon with! But we all know shopping is the perfect therapy, so off we went!
I hope to bring the same joy to my youngest girls as they traverse through the muddy terrain of tween-dome! So, this year, when we go back to school, we will be spending my next bonus on them!! Wish me luck!
She has now grown into a beautiful young woman who is confident and proud of who she is. She is top 1% of her class, has her whole letterman jacket filled with patched, and earned many scholarships to college! She made it through that awkward stage, but shopping and a coffee sure does the trick when you’re feeling down.
PS She still loves shopping and we now have to go to the mall every school year together! I may have created a shopping monster, but she’s MY shopping monster! And she is all beauty!!
Nothing cheers a girl up like shopping!
